Questions about the calculator
-
Where do the NetSuite regression calculator figures come from?
They are indicative estimates based on Spike's delivery experience of NetSuite retail estates. Every assumption, from day rates to build effort per test case, is editable in the calculator.
-
Why does test automation cost more in the first few months?
The automated test pack takes time to build while manual regression carries on, so the two costs overlap. The calculator shows the month in which automation breaks even.
-
Why do NetSuite subsidiaries and regions increase regression effort?
Each entity or region brings its own currency, tax rules and, from two subsidiaries, intercompany flows. Every variation multiplies the test cases that need to run.
-
Does the calculator include NetSuite's mandatory upgrades?
Yes, by default. NetSuite customers take two mandatory upgrades a year, and these can be switched off to model only your own releases.
-
Can Spike check these numbers against our NetSuite estate?
Yes. A Clarity Call walks through your customisations, integrations and release rhythm to firm up the estimate.
